He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is being saved from development hell by the director of Kung-Fu Panda, one of 2008's biggest hits worldwide (600+ million).

It's a smart move for director Stevenson to take the early jump to a big live-action project like He-Man which has fan support and with re-imagining / re-inventions / re-do's of movie / tv properties. And He-Man has a lot of fantasy action potential in the vein of superhero movies.
